Day 476 Noosa – Brisbane (Australia) / motorbike GS Dakar RTW overland adventure traveller

  • Left – 9am
  • 24th July 2015
  • Miles rode – 155 (248km)

Waking up in a warm comfy bed was great, I wasn’t completely awake when I walked into the living area and wow, the view through the massive windows which stretched all the way along the length of the room was amazing, from the vantage point of being on a hill I could see across the forest for miles and miles, It was beautiful.

I had time on my side in the morning so I went to Noosa Heads, a posh beach town. Blue skies, sun, sand and surfers, this is how I imagine Australian coastal life to be.

Free wifi is so hard to get in Australia, such a difference to everywhere in Asia where it’s available even in small villages.

I didn’t take the highway down to Brisbane, I followed a local road and for the first time in Australia had wonderful bends and hills for over an hour, later as I was meeting Glen (who had kindly offered to put me up) I got on the highway! Traffic, busy, I don’t want to be here I thought! I then pulled into a service area and I could have been back home in England. I don’t want to be here I thought!
