Croatia

Croatia is a beautiful country with amazing scenery. The Dalmatian Coast is on the Eastern side of The Adriatic where there are over 1000 Islands just off the mainland, so as I rode south I had the amazing blue sea on my right and the mountains on my left which was perfect.

The photo of the statue grabbed me as I rode passed it, I had to stop and check it out – it’s a memorial for those who died in the Second World War.

As I rode south the towns and cities felt more wealthy. I stayed in Zadar which has a lovely walled town next to a busy harbour and then onto the magical Dubrovnik where I stayed in a great hostel inside the old walled town again. I’m sure everyone says it but Dubrovnik is a wonderful place with the architecture preserved in all its beauty.
